GG Fear

Filed under: Long Posts~, Real Life, DotA

So in the past few days, I’ve did only DotA related things. And no, not playing DotA. But enriching my knowledge more, watching League replays and stuff. And waiting for any CT to answer my handicap 1v1/2 challenge!

Meh~ I sooooo want to get to play in leagues. Too bad my interweb is the uber crappy, not to mention the place is sooo far away from US/Europe too. And my DotA style is pretty much US, not SG/Asia style. Yes~ Places differ in style, it’d be great for one day that US/Europe/Asia get to fight in one LAN tournament and stuff~

So ya~ Anyways, <3 LiNi~! MeR-LiNi was the #1 in IHL, but he was away for sometime, and his former clan, JMC disbanded. And now he’s playing for a Euro clan, MYM. Atleast he’s playing again~ More imba-carry!

Another famous player, from Complexity clan, coL.Fear has taken my attention. In the last game I just watched, just a TDA game, I just kept laughing, the Senti-side apparently has pretty much first-timers in TDA, or not really a hardcore DotA player. Oh, Negi was there too. They pretty much haven’t heard of Fear nor clan coL and stuff. And in the end, around 53 mins to boot, heck, Fear demonstrated a fine, fine uber-leet imba farming. His Lina had Dr/Aegis/Travel/Linkens/Desolator/Midas. All in 53 or so minutes. @.@ That’s 1337. Considering this is TDA and not pub, 5v5 not 1v1, his farming skills are way crazy. So yeah, insta-GG.

But. I still prefer good ol’ LiNi than Fear. I want 1v1 LiNi v Fear now. =P Both carrys well, and I do mean very well. The thing is, carry really needs to farm. Alot. Ofcourse, the standard Last Hitting also is needed, and they do it exceptionally well, especially the fact this is Bnet and you’ve got to factor delay. The thing I dont quite agree is, they farm. The whole game. Well, ofcourse not the whole game, but they’ll rarely join Mid-game battles. @.@

Well I guess it all depends on the hero, but in Fear’s Lina, he rarely did join battles. Bleh~ This is TDA, and not IH, so I guess he just solo-played. LiNi in one of his games I watched, did a 1337 neutral creeping. And I do mean 1337sauce. So, yeah~

Another thing I’m quite worried (well, not worried) is, uh. They don’t quite get agro enough early on. Yes, massive regen is something to worry about early game, but still, I don’t get it @.@ Meh, probably I’ll watch these ESL games waiting on my PC, since I’ve pretty much watched TDA/IHL games and not Clan vs Clan games. I wanna see mass ganks too <.<

So, speaking of Carrying, meh~ Dunno. I’m a great carrier. But I don’t feel like it =P It’s kinda a burden, since you’ll need to carry the team. And in the last two games I had, or almost had Dr/Aegis, the game with ET and the sparring game with CT, I felt kinda ankward. In the game against ET, I decided not to finish Rapier and get Linken’s first with my Lina. Why? I needed more security. But, even after that, I guess I still didn’t felt like to finish it, it was to risky. In the CT game, I finished my Rapier with Furion. But. Did I imba-GG pwn? Not really.

What’s the point? I can carry. But, I use odd carry heroes, and I’m also lacking the power to actually carry late game. I’m having worries like, if Rapier drops and so. So yeah @.@ And here where the plan comes into action. I need someone to replace my Carry role. I’ll go into a sub-carry/ganker role instead. Like in the good old days, where Inde_ed supported MeR-LiNi’s carry Silencer. I kinda like mass ganking nowadays, and I’m not really the one who’d like to hold Rapiers. But I do like mass creeps and stuff. So the plan? Replacement right? Who in the world can replace me and can carry Rapiers, np? Hah. This is lol-age. No other than Gian. I still, still cannot ever ever forget that one game. Actually, I’ve forgotten about the details. But, the main thing is, Gian saved the day, his PA suddenly appearing with a BARE Rapier, bbqpwning everyone. Yes, indeed~ Those were the days. So, if he can easily hold a Rapier like that, why not hold a Rapier with an Aegis too? Besides, he uses proper carry heroes such as Clinkz and Sniper, so he’s just appropriate~!

Yes, that means I’m back to support! Well, not really. I still have to carry with mass gankage, and ofcourse, imba-leadership skillzorz! Now, I only, really, really need to convince him to come and play again, and the CT flag shall slowly raise upwards and bbqpwn all the other shops! I believe, that the two of us, is enough to pwn ET. Well, not 2v5, but I mean a team consisting the two of us. It’s simple. He’ll just need to carry, and I’ll just need to strategize against our enemies. My teammates will just need to listen and carry out my orders. And if my strategies are correct, then we bbqpwn. Simple~ I believe, ET wins as Drew pretty much carries the game. But, that’s it. Their strategy is flawed, they believe mass AoE is win. They believe push mid is win. That is why we won the last time, they lacked their Carry Drew, and ofcourse, they’re already flawed in their strategy.

Now let’s talk about strategies! Dunno, I just feel like doing so~ Anyways, in the recent league games, Sentinel has always been winning. Why? a) Imba-Warlock is banned, or atleast, for the meantime. b) Senti-4/4 Lineup is imba. That simple. What is the senti 4/4? Beastmaster, Vengeful, Chen and Two-Headed.

Beastmaster is imba. Axe is imba, low mana cost, imba damage, slightly-hard aiming. Call of the Wild is imba, free map hack + semi-imba slow. Third skill is, meh. Roar is imba. Low mana cost, 1 minute cooldown, imba stun, imba slow effect. Beastmaster is imba, for the simple fact that he’s a massive ganker, that can still carry late game. He can farm and lane well, with his axes. He can easily scout runes with his imba hawk. He can bbqpwn enemies, with his Quillbeast’s slow, imba-Axes’ damage, and ofcourse, his low-cooldown Roar. His ability to gank and recon is very, very good. Imagine Weaver. But, unlike Weaver, he has an AoE Nuke, an AoE Stun/Slow, and he is a Strength hero. Meaning, naturally high health. So yeah~ That’s why I like BM nowadays~ But I especially like the gankage part~

Vengeful is imba. Imba stun. Magic Missle has a very high damage for a single-target ability. Terror and Aura is helpful but not needed early on. Swap is imba. VS can easily gank starting from Level 3, upto the last minutes of the game. MM’s high damage and stun early on is devastating. When she gets to level 6, prepare for a major gankage, Scourge! You would say, swap is a double edge skill? Well I say, there will be always a time that you’ll get a bit off the team. Example, we’re on a mid battle. There will be a time, one hero will go a little off-course. Ofcourse, VS will not be able to see that. But. Combine it with high-level Wards. Or. Better yet. Imba-BM’s Hawk. Just swap the guy. The enemy won’t notice. It’ll easily be 4v5. Not to mention, Swap has even a less cooldown than BM’s Roar. So yes, VS is imba. Initiate the battle with a swap. Insta 4v5. BM goes in with a Roar. The senti 4/4 combo begins!

And next we have Chen. Chen is insanely imba. Atleast for the current League Map, 6.37. He is the best hero of 6.37. Why? Creeps’ aura is imba. Continuing from the BM’s Roar, Chen’s creeps rampages through the scene, repeatedly Stunning, their MS-Auras pwning everyone who tries to escape. Oh. His creeps has imba-life so no use fighting. Even SK’s Epicenter is usually nothing, since Chen will easily Mek/HoG. Chen is the support hero, the best support as of the time. Unfortunately, we’ll be seeing him less in 6.40 as his creeps are imbalancely nerfed. No more imba-MS for sure, but the high-health, massive stuns, and the heal is still there. Just not the movespeed, no more imba-chasing. But, atleast the tower is down now, right? Oh, I’ve forgot about Penitence and Test of Faith. Both are also damn good. If something backfires, the team can slowly back, Chen can uses HoG/Mek, use Test on the hero the enemy is focusing, and poof. Oh, and Chen’s ganks early on is ofcourse as devastating as it is on a team battle. Oh, synergizes well with VS too, let’s say the enemy got tired of imba-swaps and decideds to 100% focus. The last time VS swapped, she was pwnt to death, while you guys pwnt the one she swapped. If your enemies are that focused, why don’t Chen cast Test of Faith, swap, then by the time VS gets 1v4ed by the Scourge, she’ll be at the fountain, then uses BoT to comeback? Meanwhile, the Scourge hero she swapped is easily dismembered by Chen’s creeps and the Sentinel. Told you, 4/4 is a complete dominating team.

Lastly, Senti-4/4’s Two Headed Dragon. What is imba about him? Well. For an int hero, he sure have a lot of Str, now, doesn’t he? Oh, and he’s not as semi-useless at the other Int-Str Ogre, now is he? Yes. Ogre does have Imba Bloodlust, Stun and a Slow. What does THD have? He has an AoE Slow + Damage, AoE Stun, AoE DoT. No Bloodlust, sure, but he does have a better lane control, and have a very high Int growth too. Oh, and who needs luck to cast two times, when you can just depend on your naturally high Int to spam your spells all the time. The thing is, he’s imba since Death Prophet can easily be killed because of her low health. Same with Pug. And Lich. And Rylai. Int heroes are naturally fragile. But not THD. Ogre? He’s not imbalanced, as he is melee. THD is imbalanced, as he is the same with Ogre, but is better. Ogre is an int hero with a Str gain of strenght heroes. DP/Lich/Pug is an int hero with imba AoE spells. Jakiro is both. He has the massive stats, and the massive AoE spells that most Int heroes brag about. Sure, his ulti might not be that powerful, his Autofire is useless. But that’s it. The Scourge would worry about Pug getting insta-killed, while Sentinel won’t worry about their AoE mage dying anytime soon. Teambattles? Simple. Just spam everything. That’s pretty much the same role Pug/DP/Lich does. But he just plainly survives better, and better AoE too. So ya. Imba indeed.

Well, yea~ That’s Senti imba 4/4. Wait. That’s 4 heroes! Yes, indeed. There’s still one hero missing, that differs from team to team. Carry, ofcourse. There’s pretty much no carry in the 4/4 and 4/4 wins by early pwnage. Common carry choices are Enchantress, Tinker, or Syllabear.

More senti-strats!

BB + Chen south? I believe this was first made by coL. Or so I recall @.@ But what about it? Simple. Chen is imba, since because of him, his team now has 2 solo-heroes, one both with the support of Chen’s creep ganks. Why Bristleback? Simple. Penitence deals extra damage. BB’s snot gives extra damage. BB’s AoE spam gives extra damage per spam. It’s really that simple. BB spams AoE, Chen arrives, Penitence, stun stun. BB’s AoE spam pwns the enemy with high stacking damages. Because of that, and that BB can tank naturally well because of, well, his Bristeback, so yeah. The strat pwns, BB becomes a Damage Dealing Tank later on for the Sentinel and not food for the Scourge.

…. What happened to Silencer strat? Well, I believe Silencers are rare now, since he was incharge of pwning solo-mid Lichs. Since Necrolyte is slowly replacing Lich, Silencer is pretty much gone. That, and because of Vipers now starting to go Mid, where Silencer does have little chance to solo with. And that is why Syllabears/Tinkers/Enchantress are now the in carry heroes.

What about the Sentinel AoE strat? It’s simple. AoE strat is easily countered by Pug. Pug’s Ward counters anyone low-health Caster. AoE strat has Rylai/Enigma, both low-health. In the instance they use their imba-AoE, they’d pretty much have 1/4 health, one nuke, heck, even if it’s not a stun, GG. No more AoE. That’s why we see no more Caster Tiny, Blink Centaur to lane with Rylai, etc.

Meh~ I just love Sentinel =P What about Scourge strats then?

Simple. Since 4/4 Dominates all, there’s pretty much no Scourge strat that stands out. Scourge tries everything but to no avail. That is, till the next League version, where Chen’s Creeps got nerfed, and the Scourge releases the dreaded Warlock. That’s the fun of League DotA I guess, there’s a story in it, the war and so.

Since the old times, the war between the Sentinel and Scourge have changed. From the relentless, continuous assaulst from both parties, from the time where the Sentinel called upon their Dryads and Sentinel warriors to fight with the Scourge’s Orcish Skeletal Warriors and Void Elementals, and to now, where the Sentinel exchanged their grunts to parties of Treants and Druids, while the Scourge’s army now consists of Ghouls and Necromancers. From the time where the Void Demon of the Scourge rampaged the lands. The time where the Sentinel called upon God to aid them in their fight. The time, where Purist Thunderwrath gained the power of the heavens as he saw his comrade fall in battle, he immediately got into a powerful rage that made the Scourge down to their knees. The time where the Scourge released their Medusa to wreck havoc in the battlefield, with her shots magically splitted to the Sentinel Warriors, as they all try to bring down Medusa’s shield that protected her totally from any damage. When Stealth Assassin had his Death Ward and crossed the lands, bringing death to the Scourge. When the Scourge delivered their ultimate caster, the Invoker, as the Sentinel hired forth the Gambler to fight the intense battles. The Sentinel, asking help from the Silencer as he wrecked havoc with his Infernals The time where rumors have spreaded, that the legendary God that governs this world, Ice Frog himself has been lurking and appearing in some parts of the world. From all of those uncanny battles, the battles are only starting to get tough. Stealth Assassin had his ward stolen by the Witch Doctor of the Scourge. Silencer eventually trained harder and became a more fearful, silencing beast. The Scourge obtained the Lord of the Avernus to lead their battles to the World Tree. In the roots of the World Tree, the Two Headed Dragon, Jakiro was born and growed to protect the Tree. A wandering Half-Orc, Half-Ogre, the Beastmaster Rexxar was found by the Sentinel and unleashed him to the Scourge. Demnok Lannik, a Warlock, observing the battles flow. How time has changed, he learned of the Silencer’s old spell, and made it more powerful. As the latest battles go, the Warlock is now ready. He himself is just waiting for the Lich King’s approval to go into the battlefield, revising Silencer’s weak summons as Infernals of Death. In the battlefield, the Sentinel currently have the upper hand, the so called "4/4" Sentinel. The wars. All of the battles. And yet, till now, has now sign of stopping. This is the Defence of the Ancients. Only time will tell who would emerge victorous of this war.

=P Bleh~ That was fun~ Void Demon in the old days, Purist’s imba ulti, when an allied hero died, he’ll get imba armor, imba attackspeed, and many many more stuff! Medusa’s imba 100% split shot to all enemy, 100% mana shield. SA’s Death Ward of, uh, death! Gambler’s gambling spree. Invoker’s short time in this world. Silencer before his remake.

I actually forgot to write many many stuff. I’ll just write those memorable stuff here~ The time when Chen fighting the battles hard, with his ability to turn an entire battalion of scourge troops into his command, when he suddenly disappeared from sight. Then, he was back, no longer has his former powers, but now stands as he had the holy power to revive his teammates. Alas, the Lich King’s power must be powerful. Once again, Chen disappeared mysteriously, all to the gain of the Scourge. As Silencer grew more powerful and stopped using his old spells, mysteriously, Chen once again was brought back to fight this war. No longer he has the ability to control an entire battalion, nor to revive his allies. But. He had a share of both. He can easily invoke the power of the gods, bringing forth a powerful healing power to all of the Sentinels mapwide, he can persuade not an entire army of mindless creeps, but rather, a small army of raging ancients. Chen is back. Indeed.

Oh, let’s talk about morphy~ Water. I remember that water. Just, who is he? Indeed. Who is he? He had the power to change. That was his very own foundation. At first, he mimicked his enemies. He adapted. He changed. He immitated Faceless Void. He immitated Lion. Heck, he even immitated the Lich. And, the underlings of the Scourge believed this false trap. Indeed. And as  they work with this imitation, poof. The water, that morphling pops out and beats them down. Morphling. He is the Morphling. He had was Undercover. Indeed. As the Scourge found out about this, they made sure that their leaders will always be at one place, and will be known throughout the entire army. Because of this, the morphling was forced to do something he was used to do: Adapt. He adapt. No longer had he changed form. But yet, he adapted. As soon as he saw, the Lich, Kel Thu’zad releasing forth a cold breath of frost, the morphling, easily adapted. And as he saw sneaking behind him was the Bone Fletcher and Terrorblade, the morphling easily recalled what he saw. He released forth a Chain Frost. A very same breath of frost released by the Lich. And as Terrorblade slowly said, Sunder., Morphling yet adapted. He was weakening as he felt the life-force exchanging with him. But. In an instant. The morphling, too, used the Soul Keeper’s signature move. Sunder. Their life forces swaped. Morphling was once again back to his normal state. As the morphling readed to release a Tidal Wave, the Bone Fletcher, carried the Soul Keeper and Wind Walked away. And as the morphling realized it, he was surrounded by numerous Scourge heroes. His innate ability to Blink to places was well used as of the time. But still, they were on him. But. Morphling, used the same trick Fletcher did. He also Wind Walked. Adapt. Morphling, that’s what he does best. Adapt. However, the Gods doesn’t seemed to have liked what he was doing. The very next time he tried to adapt and mimic the skills of anyone nearby, he did not change. Did not change at all. However, he did felt to be more agile, intelligent, and tough. After a while, he tried to do so again, but still nothing happened. However, he did felt a surge of power change within him. He tried to do so again, but this time, he felt a sparkling intelligence on him. Trying once again to do so, he became the usual agile Morphling as he is. He has changed. No longer can he mimic abilities, however, he himself has Adapted. He can change to the situation. He can easily become intelligent and assess the situation, causing a knocking force within him to force his enemies off. He can become a brute force of strength, obtaining unnatural heavy power and toughness. He can become an agile force, a fast moving creature, with an uncanny wave that looks just a splash of water, but it actually hurts. Hurts indeed. He has also merged his Tidal Wave and Blink spell, into one spell. He can move through enemies, causing Waves to flow and damage forth. Really. He just adapts. Oh. Oh. After a while, he can no longer do so. And then, he realized. Focusing his energies, he can create a Replicate of anyone. Anything. Indeed. Once again, the morphling Adapted.

GG. Morphling sure adapted alot. From his old Undercover ulti, to the buggy but 1337 Spellsteal, to his no ulti, just bonus stats Morphling, to his 3 Forms of Morphling, the Adapting morphling, and finally, the latest Replicating Morphling. Hah~ He was my favorite hero when he had Undercover. Then I slowly liked Spellsteal. Then once again he changed. And I slowly liked him again. And now? Yes. I still am inlove with Morphy <3. I just need him to carry =P

@.@ W/E! I wasted enough time. I was suppose to talk more strats, how to counter ET AoE strat, more explanation to Senti-4/4 strat, Warlock’s ghey imbaness, etc. I suppose that’s for next time. Heck, I started to write about 10:20 and now its 11:55. GGed.

… I should’ve spent teh time to write my imba GG-script instead <.< @.@ Fine. Night~
