Well guys give your points in the topic/subject at hand. I’ll give you guys a rare/unique view on this matter, one from me.
Remember the times when you’re a kid? When you believed all the stuffs everyone tells you or what you see at tv? Like Santa and all of them? By time, we find out that they aren’t true, what you see in television aren’t true and so on.
But, unlike all of you (or probably most, there may be some like me), who already fully left behind all of them, I haven’t left one fact. Yes, I’m still living in a world of fantasy, I believe that girls are just what you(I) see in tv, those kawaii ones i see (anime) just about everyday.
But, even though I know that they aren’t true at all, I still believe, why? Because with that fact I can encourage myself, to have that driving force.
****************
So what did that all mean? It’s just the start. Let’s have a view on ‘crushes’ from a guy who believes that anime girls = real girls.
What’s there not to love? Anime characters are more than perfect, and most of all, ‘flexible’. The way they’re drawn, the reflection of the shiny colors, the incredibly cute voice. Tell me who wouldn’t have their first ‘crush’ on a fictional character?
But, in time as I said, we forget about them, as we move on to the real ones. But me, no, since I can consider them as ‘real’. Ok, I’m repeating stuffs again >.< So how does it feel to be inlove, or so you think, to a fictional character, never-ever gonna become alive? It would feel harsh, it would feel sad, that perfect character that suits you very much cannot become 'yours'.
But what does attracts you to them? Everybody has different reasons, but to me, I have 'grown' with them. By watching them everyday on their daily lives, you've become used to their actions, and stuffs. You become attached, when you see them get hurt, you want to pwn the one who did that. When you hear someone talking badly about them, you want to punch them.
As to everyone, however, there is the day that you'll accept the fact that they won't be ever exist, one day for sure. They'll slowly go off your life.
So what now? To a person like me, who already knows the truth, but still, not believing it, instead have grown a different love. Moe. Yes, the same one that I have already discussed before, but will do so again.
So what is moe again? It is a love that you feel, for a certain character, one not filled with sexual desires, but one filled with protection. You want to protect that girl, for whatever traits you might loved. You want to protect that beautiful smile, that cheerful face, and so. You'll protect her against stupid people, who is a disgrace in your point of view.
That is moe. So what happens now? After reading all that stuffs, there is a conclusion I could think of.
This love, feeling towards a fictional character, is never to become true. It is just a thing for the moment, probably to test you or something. That is the same for everybodies 'crushes'. They are just objects of the present, soon to be the past.
But, there may be some who aren't. Some you'll really love, but they can't do back. So let's apply the same stuff about moe, if you can't 'love', then tell her you'll protect. Not actually telling her, but go and protect her. And if the time comes, you two are seperated, since she has someone who will 'take care of the rest', release her, wave goodbye, show a smile. Be thankful for the times that you have been given, the time to be with her.
Move on, there will be yet another one who you'll feel the same. But perhaps it's different this time? Perhaps, someone protecting her, will hand it over to you now? It's all giving chance. You can't possibly love 2 characters at the same time right?
So some 'characters' move on and pass, some of them you really can't release, or perhaps cannot 'reach', so you just 'protect' them for the time being, and finally, one who you'll probably like among the rest.
So after all that, there you go. In my eyes, thats what I see, even though it's based on my world, my fantasies, it's what I believe. You guys should have your own beliefs too, do not simply rely on resources to describe it. Give it your best shot guys!
*I'm expecting that the next other posters will post only a sentece, BUT I WANT THEM TO DO WHAT I DID, expresss your opinion! Darn it, no one here maybe except for dread knows how their opinion matters, especially to their close friends*
Ah~ and so that's my sight, a sight from an otaku, but more importantly, a shojo lover. I'm pretty much more into romance ones rather than action *ehem, naruto?*, so I pretty have much 'experience' to say. >.< To SAY that is happy.gif;
Good to see that finally someone set off the fire for serious discussion! *darn I was suppose to start it! >.<*
